Steve Ellis, President

Steve Ellis is a great example of a local guy making good. Born and raised in Hopedale, Steve takes pride in being an active member of the Milford and Holliston communities. From the Milford Chamber of Commerce and the Milford Rotary club (he is former chairman and current member of both) and a former member of the Board of Trustees for the Milford Regional Medical Center, Steve understands that being a local agent isn’t about writing insurance policies. It’s about knowing your neighbor and being there. “Obviously, there are a lot of choices out there today but we pride ourselves on our customer service and that’s how we stand out. We build relationships with our customers.”

Steve Graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and worked as an Adjuster and Officer manager for Crawford and Company and Insurance Adjustment Services ( I.A.S ) before joining his father Peter Ellis at Bright Insurance. Steve worked as a Sales producer for 4 years before becoming President and Treasurer where he serves today.

Under Steve’s leadership in 2013 Bright Insurance acquired Jensen Sheehan insurance in nearby Holliston. When Steve isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his wife Lynne and their two grown sons, as well as fly fishing, hunting and golfing.

Krishna Swanson, Vice President and Accounting Manager

Krishna Swanson may be our Accounting Manager but for her it’s not just about the money. Krishna joined Bright Insurance in 2011 as the Accountant and was promoted to Vice President in March of 2018.  She wears many hats including administration and human resources for both our Milford and Holliston locations.  Helping the agencies support their local communities is very important to her. She manages the agencies’ participation in community events, supporting local teams and activities. When Krishna isn’t working she enjoys traveling and camping with her husband, acting in local theater and participating in her church’s community events.

Lisa Rodrigues, Operations Manager

Lisa Rodrigues is the newest addition to the Bright Insurance family!

Prior to joining us this summer as our Operations Manager, she worked for 35 years as an Operations Manager for the former Milford National Bank. Ready for a new challenge, Lisa is excited to try new things and enjoys a job where every day is something new to keep her on her toes. Lisa oversees all of the technology in both offices and supervises the high school students who we regularly hire to work in our mail room. Lisa has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

A Milford native and lifelong resident, Lisa still lives in her childhood home which she has updated and changed over the years since acquiring it. When she isn’t working Lisa enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time outdoors.
